This training has been developed to assist organizations and individuals planning to implement the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Standard.
The ISO 14001:2015 EMS standard promotes corporate environmental responsibility. It provides a holistic and systematic approach to managing an organization’s operations that have a significant impact on the environment.
Complying with ISO 14001:2015 would strengthen the organization’s legislative compliance with environmental laws and regulations. It also helps an organization to achieve operational efficiency, resources optimization, and waste minimization, as well as developing better relations with the community.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- describe the purpose of an environmental management system and explain its importance to an organization;
- explain the purpose and intent of the SZNS ISO 14001 standard and the benefits to organizations using SZNS ISO 14001;
- describe and interpret the requirements of SZNS ISO 14001 and determine conformance of an environmental management system to SZNS ISO 14001 requirements
- establish, document, implement, maintain and continually improve an environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001
